Email From The Consular Information Unit Arrived!!

Finally, a response to my email sent on the 13th January.

I was shaking and felt my heart pumping when I found it sat waiting for me in my mail box. I quickly opened it, and here’s what it says;

‘Your application is subject to additional administrative processing and
is currently being reviewed by the Nonimmigrant Visa Chief. As soon as
we are able to proceed, you will be notified.’

GREAT!!! 3 months of waiting to hear it’s being reviewed. For goodness sake, don’t they think people have lives that they want to get on with? The works been done by immigration at Miami. I know because I sat all night watching them scour every known database in the world for information on me. They even showed me the 3 inch thick file of paperwork they’d completed. This was made up of printouts from the online file that’s also been produced.

In three weeks, there’s a week long school holiday over here. I would love to fly over to see Tony, but it’s not going to happen is it? Even if I receive a  reply before then, we’ll be pushing it to get my passport back to the Embassy and for them to process it and return it to me with my visa, oh, and we need to book flights.

I’ll keep you all updated.

Tagfoot – Social Bookmarking Redefined

TagfootTagfoot is a brand new social bookmarking and networking site, and it’s unique.   This is your invitation to join Tagfoot and find out all about this great site.

From a description alone you might think that Tagfoot is just another site like Digg or Stumbleupon, but aside from being able to bookmark pages, there the similarity ends.  The whole interface and experience is something else.

With Tagfoot you can bookmark different types of items, including  news, photographs and videos.  There is even a facility to build your own wishlist (more about this later).  Maybe you would like to let the world know about your blog or website, your photographs, the latest funny video you found on You Tube, or a news headline .   This is the place to do it.

You can share anything with other members.

Over time you can build up a list of friends on Tagfoot who have similar interests.  Members tag themselves to identify things that they are interested in, and when you bookmark an item you have the ability to share it with friends, either by name, or by specifying various tags.

Tagfoot is a wonderful online community made up of diverse, vibrant, fun and interesting people of all ages from all around the world. There’s quite a following from Squidoo and Hubpages on there, plus from other social networking sites as well.

follow_my_footsteps

This is the fun part…

Once items have been shared with other members, you can comment on them and rate them. We have some fantastic, side splitting conversations as well as more serious ones too. The more you interact with others on Tagfoot, the more you will gain from it. It’s not just about promoting your own stuff. It’s also about helping out others.

If you like an item that someone has shared, you can opt to give it a Foot-Up, which tells the person who bookmarked it that you like this type of item.  You can also foot comments on items up or down.   The more you bookmark, share, comment on or foot up, the higher your footing.  The Tagfoot home page shows you your rank or footing and it’s fun to rise up the charts as you find more things of interest to comment on.

follow_my_footsteps

Now, here’s the clever part…

badge_profootIf you have a Google Adsense account or an Amazon affiliate account, you can earn money on Tagfoot.

Add at least ten items each to your bookmarks, news, videos and wishlist, and you can then apply to ‘Support’ to have your Google Adsense account linked into your Tagfoot account. Adsense adverts are displayed on every page, and a percentage of these will be for your account.  So the more interesting and diverse your bookmarks, the higher the chance of you earning something from the clickouts.

follow_my_footsteps

And there is more to come…

If you have an Amazon account, you can add items from Amazon to your Wishlist and tag them.  There is a Widget that you can configure to select Wishlist items that match given tags, and you can display these items on your web page or blog using the Widget.  This will drive people to Tagfoot and if they buy – well I think you get the picture.  You can see an example of the Tagfoot Widget at the top right of this page.

follow_my_footsteps

Do you Twitter?

badge_twitfootTwitter is rapidly becoming the site to be on, with millions of tweets being sent out daily.  There is an interface from Tagfoot to Twitter so that having bookmarked a page, shared a page or footed an item, you can opt to have a notification sent to your Twitter account.  Cool eh…  Add Twitter to your Tagfoot account and you get a shiny Twitfoot badge.

Tagfoot is spam free

There’s no spam on Tagfoot, or at least if someone attempts to spam it’s soon discovered and reported. You decide who to accept on your friends list and if they get too heavy with the shares they send you, you have a variety of options to control what you receive.   Tagfoot has it’s own police force, a select group of elite members called Bigfeet, who constantly monitor postings to ensure that everything is running smoothly and that nobody abuses the system, either by posting spam or illegal material, or by oversharing their posts.  Guess what?  If you achieve the elite status of Bigfoot, you get another shiny badge on your profile.

USB Hard Drives For Backup Or Storage

USB Hard Drives are now so cheap, especially here in the USA, that nobody should have an excuse to be short of disk space for Documents, Music, Digital Photographs, Movies etc, or short of space to create backups of their systems or data.   It wasn’t long ago that additional Hard Drives cost a lost of money, but now the prices of Hard Drives have come down tremendously, and in addition the popularity of USB Hard Drives has further reduced the price of these “plug and play” devices.

When it comes to disk space, while you may think that 250gb or even 500gb is more than enough, consider that with the resolution of Digital Cameras and Camcorders increasing all the time, plus the quality of ripped music and videos, the space needed to store these is continually increasing.  If buying a disk for backup, you ought to consider allowing enough space to allow for multiple backup copies of your files, rather than just a single copy.

Buy.com has a number of these devices, several of which are featured below.  Since models and prices change all the time, I left a general link to Buy.com at the bottom of this post, rather than to specific models.   A few months ago I purchased several 500gb USB Hard Drives for just over $100 each, however now for the same price you can get a 1TB (1,000 GB) drive, which is nothing short of amazing.

Hang On – What Is A USB Hard Drive?

A USB Hard Drive is a hard drive, the same as you would find inside your laptop or desktop, however it comes in a case, complete with it’s own power supply, and you connect it to your computer using a cable that plugs into the USB port.   The great advantage is that it’s very portable, you can attach it and remove it at any time, you don’t need to open your computer to install it, you literally just plug and play – plug it in, turn it on, the drivers install and it’s ready for use in minutes.

These drives are fast to transfer data, reliable, and the perfect way to add to your existing disk storage, as well as to backup your data.

I’m Going To Be A Grandparent!

Marzipan baby by Camille AllenWell, it’s happened.  I’m going to join all those mature people who are known as Grandparents.  A new generation is currently preparing itself to enter this world.  A journey that I am so excited about.

I had told all three of my children years ago that there was no way on this earth was I going to be ready to be a Grandmother until I was at least fifty.  So last summer, I had that magical birthday and I just knew what was going to happen next.  And it did.  And I am SO excited!

My eldest daughter Gemma is going to be a mother.  She and her husband have been trying for a long old while to have a baby, so it’s a much wanted new addition.  I remember at my birthday party telling her that her body would be saying ‘phew, the old bird finally hit 50, we can relax now and make that baby’ , and it did …

This week, Gemma recorded the baby’s heartbeat on her mobile (cell) phone as the midwife listened to it.  Then of course, the recording was sent to me via a text message and I have that precious little beating on my phone.  I reguarly listen to it, especially when I’m feeling a bit low (due to current events).

Every time I go shopping, I’m there in the baby aisle getting all the special offers.  I’m gradually building my own superstore full of baby goodies.  I’ve had conversations with new Mum’s in the aisle about which are better, Pampers or Huggies?

Funny isn’t it, when I think of this new baby, or about my daughter becoming a mother, I see a baby girl in her arms.  Now I have no preference what-so-ever, but that’s what I see in my mind.  If I find myself in the clothes section, I find myself looking at all the little pink frilly outfits, without even realising it.  As a Mother of two girls, I desperately wanted a boy and waited a long time for my son to make an appearance, so it surprises me in a way that I’m leaning towards the pink variety LOL!

I decided very early on, that I want to be known as Nana Deb.  Grandmother is so ageing, as is Grandma.  My own mother is Nanny, so I don’t want that title as well.

The baby isn’t due until July, which happens to be the same month as my birthday, so we still have a long way to go.  But watching Gemma’s tummy swell, and helping her through the sickness and emotional roller coaster that has hit her has brought all my maternal instincts flowing again.

Her father and I have agreed to go halves on a 3 in 1 travel system that she wants.  The one she has her eye on is over 500 pounds! I’ve told her to have a re-think on that.  As her father says, you can get a used car for that LOL!!

So along with my visa trauma’s, I have something very special to look forward to.  Oh, the first scan is on Tuesday.  I was desperate to ask if I could go, but that’s my son-in-laws place to be by her side, not mine.  I can’t wait to see the photograph though!

Please note, The image used here is of a ‘marzipan’ baby made by Camille Allen.

If you’ve seen the “The Smell of Rain” or “Marzipan Babies” ( Or “Sugar Babies”) email, you have probably seen some images taken from this website www.hoax-slayer.com . However those pictures are really of sculptures created out of clay by Camille Allen.

The babies are not made of Marzipan – they were never made of marzipan or sugar or almond paste.   They are not real premature babies.

Please Drink Responsibly

This is a post on behalf of the DUI Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps to educate people about the dangers of driving while drunk, to help in the prevention of accidents, and to assist with guidance should you be involved in one.   I now hand you over to Joseph Torillo of the DUI Foundation.

DUI Foundation - Helping Prevent Accidents Caused By Drinking And Driving

Please Drink Responsibly: The DUI Foundation Can Help!

Have you ever been effected by an alcohol related accident? There are hundreds of thousands of alcohol related accidents every year. Thousands of people are seriously injured or killed in them. Regardless of the role you play, if you are involved in an accident caused by a drunk driver, your life will most certainly change.

Everyone associated as being on the victim’s side of a DUI accident is likely to experience a combination of pain and suffering, expensive medical and legal costs, mental anguish, irreversible physical damage or early death. The drunk driver is likely to experience injury, medical and legal costs, fines, jail time, community service, unemployment, guilt, depression, exclusion from activities (thus become a social outcast) or early death.

No lawyer or decision in a court of law can make the accident go away. Once it happens, the consequences must be dealt with. Seeking help from a lawyer or friends and family afterwards is expensive, time consuming, emotionally draining, and basically just a way to minimize the damage caused by the accident while the effects remain anyway. The only way to avoid the effects of a DUI incident is to prevent it from happening to begin with.

When you are out drinking and having a good time, it’s easy to get caught up in the moment, throw caution to the wind, and just wing it. This usually means someone that has been drinking winds up driving home. There are many forms of alternative transportation. We should help each other make the right decision. In the end, we can save lives and taxpayer dollars by reducing the number of drunk drivers on the road.

With the help of the DUI Foundation, we can educate ourselves, our friends and our families on the consequences of drinking and driving and prevent them from happening. The DUI Foundation website offers tons of educational information about driving under the influence of alcohol. They offer information about support groups in your area that can help you, a friend or a loved one with an alcohol related problem. Their New York DUI Attorney page offers free legal information that is similar to the information you would receive from a lawyer. For example, you can find state-by-state legal DUI limits, fines and penalties based on the nature of the incident, and whether it’s a first, second or third offense, etc. Whether you are looking for education, or in need of real help, the DUI Foundation is there to provide it from people that care. It is the mission of the DUI Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to educate and prevent DUI incidents before they happen by offering free information and support. For more information, please visit DUIFoundation.org.

Positive Vibes Needed Please!

Debbie and TonyWell as some of  you may know, Tony lives in Florida and I live in the UK.   Over the last 18 months, I’ve done 6 trips over to Florida and Tony has made 2 to the UK.

Anyway, last summer we had the opportunity to spend a year together in Florida as I’d managed to get a years unpaid leave.  All I needed was a little document called a Visa to make it all possible.  I had my interview booked for early August and went armed with all the necessary documentation as stated on the US Embassy website.  I had proof of my intention to return, proof of finance, a place to stay… everything, or so I thought.

I was 100% confident that the visa was mine.  After all, there was no reason for me not to get it.  I’ve never broken the law or done anything wrong.  My job requires a CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau) reguarly or I don’t work, so I knew I was an ok person.

Imagine my horror at the interview when I was questioned about Tony… did I have his green card number?  What was his Social Security number?  Did I have his passport with me?  I was floored.  I’d put on my application that I would be staying at his address, so they wanted to check him out too.  Unfortunately, I didn’t have any of his documentation with me.  I had no idea that they’d want that.

When the consular officer said the words ‘I’m sorry but your application for a visa has been denied’ it was like the room span and I wasn’t hearing properly.  I was distraught.  I couldn’t understand why I’d been denied.  She explained that she didn’t believe I was a genuine tourist but could still travel under the visa waiver programme- that allows entry for up to 90 days.

So, after such a shock, I had to rearrange everything.  I’d given notice on my apartment and had to move out.  Flights had to be changed, which costs a fortune.  We changed my return to the end of October which was well within the 90 day limit.

However, after poking around on the net, I discovered it was more than likely that I’d be stopped by immigration at Miami and interviewed again.  It was highly likely that I could be denied entry and sent home on the next flight.  So, I took EVERY shred of documentation I had not only on myself, but on Tony too.

A nine hour flight is bad enough, but when you know that you could be facing an interrogation  at the other end and then have to come straight back, it turns the flight into an ordeal.  To say I was an emotional wreck would be an understatement, but I had to appear calm on the outside as I knew immigration would try and pull me apart during questioning.

About 2/3rds of the way through the flight, it became obvious that there was a medical emergency on board the plane.  Unfortunately, an elderly gentleman suffered a heart attack and died during the flight.  Ok, so what’s this got to do with my situation?  Well, when we landed in Miami, of course all I wanted to do was get off the plane and get whatever was ahead of me over and done with.  But no, the authorities had other plans.  As it was a sudden death, the Police made the plane a crime scene whilst they conducted enquiries.  So there we were… a plane full of people already exhausted from the flight, with a dead body laid in the aisle, sat on the tarmac being held by the Police for an hour after the flight landed.

Eventually we were allowed to leave and I made my way to passport control and my heart was pounding.  I felt sick and was shaking all over.  As I expected, I was asked to step aside and wait for a colleague.  I was then taken to ‘secondary’ and told to sit and wait.  So I sat.  And I waited.  And I sat some more.  And waited some more.  There were approximately 75 people sitting and waiting with me and more people arriving all the time.  The officers at the desk although mostly polite, were obviously not the easiest of people to deal with. I also knew that Tony was sat in arrivals not knowing what on earth was happening, although he’d obviously expected for me to be questioned.

After 2 hours, I was called forward and asked a few standard questions.  Ok, I had the answers, but when the next 3 months of your life depends on the person in front of you and you’re aware that the whole waiting room can hear you, it’s difficult to speak clearly and consisely.

I’m not going to go into detail over what happened for the rest of the night…yes, you read correctly, the rest of the night.  Thankfully there was no latex glove action LOL!!  I was denied entry and then, thankfully, parolled in until the end of October.  I was held for 15 hours in total whilst they built a case to support my visa application.  The authorities were angry and embarrassed that they and I were in the situation we were because ‘some A** H*** having a bad day’ denied my visa application… oh, those were the words of the Chief Officer, not my own ;)

Before I left the UK, I’d already made an appointment for my next interview with the Embassy for shortly after my return.  Miami assured me that they’d made and supported a case record for me that would ensure me a visa.  As it stands now, as I’ve been denied a visa and subsequently denied entry, I am not allowed to travel to the States.

When I was eventually released, I almost ran through the airport to the arrivals area where Tony had been waiting all night for me.  We’d been allowed a couple of short calls but it was very difficult to talk openly to him in front of officers.  We were both exhausted, cold and emotionally drained.  That experience took me a good 3 weeks to recover from before I could settle in Florida.

When I returned, I went for the second interview.  I’d already arranged to go back to work and found somewhere new to live.  I couldn’t risk being turned down again, and end up with no job for a year and nowhere to live.

When you go to the Embassy for an interview, although you’re given a time, you’re sent to sit in a waiting room with approx 3-400 other people.  And again you sit and you wait.  It was a very nerve jangling wait too.  I was eventually called and interviewed.  It was explained to me that the reason I had been previously denied was because the officer felt I wanted to live in America, despite the fact I had evidence of my intention to return.  I was told that further enquiries needed to be made into what Miami had prepared and I should hear in about two weeks.

Two weeks came and went, no news.  Meantime I’d returned to work, faced all the ‘poor you’ and ‘what’s happening now’ questions (they’re still going on actually).  When I checked the Embassy website, it clearly states you may not contact the Embassy for an update until 60 days have elapsed after the interview.

So Tony booked his flights and came to the UK for Christmas.  Whilst he was here, the 60 days had elapsed and I called the Embassy.  I was spoken to by a very rude person, who didn’t even take any details from me.  I was told to just wait.  It could take 8-16 weeks.  So when Tony went home, we had no idea when we’d see each other again.  It might not be until the summer when he comes back over.

Yesterday I got brave and called again.  This time I got through to a really nice man who took my details and was surprised that I’d not heard anything.  He asked me to email a certain department and gave me a new reference number.  His response suggested to me that a decision has been made.

So, the email is sent.  I received an automated reply saying it could take 3-4 days for a response.  So that’s why I need your positive vibes.  Theoretically, they have no reason to deny me.  In reality I know they can do whatever they like.  If I get the visa, I’ll fly out to Florida mid February, then April and late May as that’s when the school holidays are here and I work in education, so I get that time off.  If I don’t get it, then we wait til Tony can fly here in the summer.

Fingers crossed.

Added by Tony

And if Debbie doesn’t get a visa, since I get precious little time off in a year, we will not be able to see each other until July, which is unthinkable.   Thankfully these days we have webcams, email and cheap phone calls, but that is no substitute for being together.  Sure we can see each other and talk, but we can’t hug or kiss, go places together, and begin our lives together.  If you can imagine what’s it’s like at the weekend for example…  The weather could be perfect, there could be places to go, festivals, concerts, or even just walks in the country or along the beach, but you can’t do that when you aren’t together.  So many weekends have passed already when neither of us have had the desire to do anything because we are on our own.  And so one weekend after another drags slowly past, especially those long holiday weekends, and both of us are not getting any younger.

Any positive thoughts you can send out for us will be much appreciated.

Israel And Palestine. Can There Be Peace In Gaza?

The Gaza StripI wish that Israel and Palestine could find a peaceful solution in the Gaza Strip.

I don’t in any way condone Israel’s military actions, however peace only works if both sides remain peaceful.

It only takes one person to keep lobbing rockets across into Israel, and sooner or later you come to the point where you say “Enough is enough!”.

If only Israel could have the determination to try and not retaliate, and if only both sides could try to ensure that individual acts of aggression did not take place, I think there could be a solution to the problem.  From the news reports it sounds as if Israel is saying that Hamas is behind the rocket attacks or at least not doing enough  to try and prevent them from taking place.

The saddest part with any conflict like this is that innocent people always get hurt.  Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed or injured in this latest scuffle, and this just helps fuel the hatred of one side for the other.  As long as attacks continue on either side, grudges will be formed, that will last for generations.

I’m not sure what the U.N. can do if anything, but surely something can be done to defuse the situation in the Gaza Strip.  Let us hope that there can be a peaceful solution here soon, and let 2009 be a year where this and more conflicts are settled in the world.

Where Is Your Username Registered?

usernamecheck.com - Where Is Your Username Registered?Ok, so as you start to create web sites and blogs, to register for Social Networking sites like Facebook, My Space, Digg, Delicious, Stumbleupon, Twitter, Squidoo and Tagfoot, you keep coming across new sites to register with, but over time it’s easy to forget some of these sites, especially if you registered with them but didn’t really do anything with that site.

Here is where usernamecheck.com comes in handy.  I just Stumbled upon this site tonight, checked it out and it’s pretty cool.

Not a lot to it really…   Type your user name (assuming you usually use the same one for most sites that you register with – I think that most of us do), click on Check, and the site will check a whole host of sites to see if your user id is registered or not.

While this is really cool to check where you have registered, the best part for me was finding plenty of sites out there that I not only haven’t registered with, I hadn’t even heard of them.

And so, it looks like I will be busy for a while yet tonight, seeing what some of these “new to me” sites are and if it’s worth my while registering.    If any sites allow posts to be generated by feeds from other sites, you are onto a winner for sure by registering and boosting your presence.

Well that’s my take on usernamecheck.com.   I hope you find it useful, and look forward to your feedback.

And don’t forget, if you enjoy this post, you can register for email updates or for our RSS Feed.

How Secure Is Your Job In 2009?

I came across an article on Open Salon today by Steve Klingaman entitled Status Symbol for 2009: A Secure Job.

Having commented on this at length, I thought that my comments, together with the topic would make a good blog posting.   The economy is in such a mess, so many companies are struggling to stay afloat, and if like me you have a full time job, no doubt you have worries and concerns over what may happen in 2009.

Personally, I think 2009 is going to be a tough year for many people – too many people, and definitely having a secure job is a new status symbol.

But defining secure?  I don’t think you can.

My job got eliminated 5 years ago.  I was working for a musical instrument manufacturer in Indiana, got called into the boss’s office in the middle of a Friday morning, “Sorry to say your job has been eliminated”…   I thought I was secure, being the most acquainted person with the main accounting system.  But no – bang went my job along with 27 others, all either people who had been with the company the longest or those who were earning more.  I learned a hard lesson that day.  Now I never feel safe.

Right now the company I work for, which is a multi-billion dollar corporation, has made a lot of cut backs.  No pay rises, no perks of any description, no employer 401k matching, and some management had apparently taken pay cuts.  They haven’t said whether our usual annual bonus will be eliminated or not, but I’m not banking on anything.   Of course any action that they take to avoid cutting jobs is good, but there is always the worry that the economy will not recover in time to save us all.

Now this company I work for manufactures household appliances.  You know, toasters, microwaves, blenders, fans etc.   With sales being hit this year, the company has been forced by the big stores (Walmart, target etc) to cut their margins, and if you have been to any large store in the USA in the last few months you have to have seen the amount of consumer goods that are being dumped out at crazy prices.

It’s not just appliances.  Take a look in any store and see all the televisions, computers etc that are being offered at amazing discounts.   They just want sales, to keep their inventory turning over.

My fear is that in keeping sales up by dropping prices, many people have now purchased new items, which will last for years.  having bought a new television, toaster, fridge etc for a low low price, how many years is it going to be before these people need a replacement?

In 6 months therefore, are many companies who cut their margins to the lowest levels possible in order to maintain sales levels, going to see sales dry up as their customer base has already acquired the items that they need, often ahead of time because of the cut in prices?

Either the marketing plans that these companies have is based on some solid long term plan unknown to me, or before the end of the year we will see major problems in both the retail stores and the manufacturers that supply them.

I hope this doesn’t happen, but it really does scare me.

My fall back plan ideally would be to work for myself and to eek out a living on the internet, between blogging and earning income from affiliate programs, but obtaining the knowledge to do that is not easy.  I have been trying for more than 10 years (on and off) and still haven’t acquired the necessary skills.   Maybe 2009 is the year when I have to quit procrastinating and start seriously looking at finding alternative forms of income, just for my own security.

So what are your plans for 2009?  Are you actively looking to supplement your income, already self-employed and living off the Internet, or are you just keeping your fingers crossed that nothing bad happens with your employment status this year?

From One Cold To Another

Sad as it was to leave the freezing cold temperatures of England on Sunday and to head back to the warmth of South Florida, it was at the same time a sad departure from Debbie, since without her visa being approved, it might be July before we get to see each other again – not a pleasant prospect.

For weeks before I left Florida, many of the people in South Florida had colds and the flu.  I haven’t had a cold in over two years, my defence strategy involving drinking at least one large glass of Orange Juice a day, and it seems to work well.  Should I feel I am getting sick, I take another glass of Orange Juice, some Zinc tablets, and if I think I need it I pop an Airborne tablet.

Less than a week before I left Florida, I could feel a cold coming on.  I thought to myself  ”I knew it – something had to come along to ruin my Christmas”, and if you have ever been on a long flight at the height of a severe cold you know it’s not a pleasant experience.

Well, dosing up enough I managed to eradicate the cold before it took hold, and I successfully managed to stay cold free while in England – until the end of the trip!

I don’t know if it was 2 days before I left when I met up with my son, who wasn’t feeling 100%.  I don’t know if it was the following day when we went on a day out and also to the supermarket, which was really busy with people coughing and sneezing.  I don’t know if I caught something at the airport or on the plane.  But I do know that I caught something!

Monday I was a bit feverish, and didn’t have any juice to drink unfortunately.  I had a sauna/steam in the evening which helped a bit – maybe, but this morning I was no better.  All day I have had a sore throat and an increasing tickly cough.  This morning I got some Orange Juice, and have had about 5 glasses so far.  My head is a lot clearer than it was this morning, but the ticklish throat is still there.  The test is that if I pop an Airborne before going to bed, will I be able to sleep without being hot and feverish, and will I feel better in the morning?

I hate getting colds and flu – don’t we all!   As a child I used to have colds continually.  Not only did they last a while, I would end up so congested, it would take months to get rid of it.  Now I know how to help prevent them, I am determined to not let this take me down any more than I have to.

It’s ironic that having got back to Florida, my plans for working on this blog, promoting it, and working on other money making ideas, have not materialised.  Between t he cold and the need to adjust to Florida time, by the time I get back from work at night I am done in.  I find it hard to focus and concentrate, which is why tonight sees my first post since I got back.

Well hopefully tomorrow I will have better news to report.  Hopefully the cold will be on the retreat, and my energy will be returning.

See you on the flip side…
