I wonder if it is a particularly hard place when it comes to immigration. Her husband was USAF and he had been sent to a the mid-east. He was supposed to come to the interview with her but obviously couldn't. She paid big bucks for lawyers because immigration were going to throw her out, even though the reason her husband wasn't there was because his government had sent him to a war zone!
