St. Michael’s Church is the oldest building still in use in the city of Southampton, England. It was founded in 1070, and is the only church that is still active out of the five that were originally in the medieval walled town.

Just outside the old walls of Southampton is a memorial to the Pilgrim Fathers, who originally sailed from here in 1620. They had to put into Dartmouth due to storms, then Plymouth, from where they sailed to the New World.
