Who has listened to or watched any Jasper Carrott lately? I must admit that I am in that number, or at least was until this morning.
Back in the 70’s and 80’s Jasper Carrott from Birmingham was one of the top comedians in the UK and was regularly on the television or radio. He also for a while had his own tv series, and his comedy monologues would have you in stitches.
My usual Sunday routine includes preparing salads for my lunch at work during the week, as well as ironing my shirts for work. To be honest, I rarely listen to music in the house, and when I do I like to try and listen to either something new or something I haven’t listened to in a while.
I opened up the YouTube App on my phone this morning, and suddenly thought about Jasper Carrott. A search quickly bought up plenty of choices, and while doing my chores I was bursting out laughing so many times.
True, some of the material is now a bit dated, but so many of his stories from life still relate to today. Jasper was brilliantly funny, and in my opinion still is.
If you haven’t heard of him or just haven’t heard him for a while, I definitely recommend having a listen. If you are not from the UK but love British humour, hopefully you will love it.
