A friend of mine from the gym at David Lloyd has a great travel blog that you may enjoy reading.
Ian retired just over a year ago, and since then he and his wife Jane have been on a number of road trips around Europe, as well as around the UK.
They are currently on a 65 day cruise around South America, taking in some exciting ports of call that include Cape Verde Islands, Brazil, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands. Their latest post see them having rounded Cape Horn, not something that everyone gets to do, even in this age of technology and the freedom to travel.
I have to admit that I am rather jealous, since Debbie and I both have another 5 years before either of us can retire, and then I doubt we will have the money to do any exotic travel. Of course we might win the lottery in the meantime, you can always hope.
