B Is For Brain Tumor
As many of our online friends have been aware, Debbie has not been well since the middle of 2010, and eventually after months of waiting, in the first week of January she managed to get an MRI.
Three days later the phone rang, and I went with her to the hospital, where we found that not only did she have a Brain Tumor, it was a large one.
She was admitted to hospital the same day, and they were able to remove it successfully.
We are also fortunate in that it was not malignant, and she is now recovering really well.
Debbie created a lens about this, which you can find on Squidoo, and which tell the story of everything that led up to finding that she had a tumor, and everything that has happened since.
Her lens not only won a much coveted Purple Star award on Squidoo, on 29th March 2011 it was awarded Lens Of The Day, which is not bad considering that there are more than 1 1/2 million lenses on Squidoo.
B Is Also For Best Reviewer
Best Reviewer is a Google Adsense Revenue Sharing site that was created in 2010.
There are a number of Adsense Revenue Sharing sites, which allow you to create articles and to share in the advertising revenue that is generated from clicks on adverts when pages from teh site are displayed.
What makes Best Reviewer unique is that instead of writing articles or just posting links to articles, it provides a form that allows you to create reviews in the form “Top 5 Movies” or “Top 10 Basketball Players” etc.
Each of the entries in the review can also be a link, which can point to an article, or even to an affiliate link (for example Amazon).
I created a lens about this on Squidoo if you would like further information on Best Reviewer. I love the fact that I can create reviews in 5 minutes, and that it gives me “Do Follow” links to my articles.
If you enjoyed this post and found it useful, please can you help promote awareness that “Off The Record” exists by sharing this post with your friends. We love Twitter, Facebook, Stumbleupon, Digg etc.

I’m just glad Debbie is doing better! 🙂 She gives hope to other people who may be going through the same or similar circumstances. Hugs to you both!
wow what a nice way to turn sadness and pain into something that can help others too!
Coming here through A to Z. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!
Eek! I remember reading your Facebook status saying Debbie had a brain tumour and I literally felt my heart sink in my chest. I was only relaxed again when you said she was getting out of hospital and everything was fine! I’m very happy to hear that she is much better now!
Oh My! What a shock! But I am so glad to know that Debbie is doing well.
I don’t know you, but it is very interesting how blogging brings you close to people that otherwise you would have never met.
I am looking forward to read what else you have in stock.
Always happy to hear that Debbie is doing well. Good idea to include best reviewer here. No wonder you are one of the top recruiters. (I am one of your recruits)
It’s great to have you as a recruit Rhonda, and Best Reviewer is working out very well, not just from my reviews, but from those of recruits like you as well.
I am so pleased I jumped in at the right time, and for once this seems to be working out for me. I am not earning a lot, but the potential is there. I just need to create more reviews, but no time so far. Plenty of ideas though.
I am glad to hear that your wife is doing well. Will check out her lens. (I am not too familiar with Squidoo…)
Stopping by from A-Z!
B is for Balance
I sure hope that she continues to do well. It’s hard to imagine how scary all this had to be for both of you!
Glad to hear that Debbie is doing better. Hugs and good thoughts to you both.
Great work Tony and all credit to Debbie for getting through it. Best wishes to you both and good luck with the A-Z
How scary!! I am glad Debbie is getting better!
Hi Tony and Debbie. Glad to hear Debbie is doing well and sharing the experience in a positive way for others. I know nothing about Squidoo or what a “lens” is so I am going to learn something new today. Following you on this A-Z Challenge. Have a great weekend.
Glad to hear that Debbie is doing well, Tony.
I’d not heard of Best Reviewer, but will have a look now. Thanks!

What a blessing that Debbie is all right now! And I’ve never used Squidoo.

Found you through your A to Z comment on my blog. So glad this post has a happy ending. I have been hearing a lot about Squidoo lately. I’m going to check it out.
…..i’ve been through this, the doctor said the brain tumor was the “size of an orange” WHAT does THAT mean? Florida orange? small naval orange?….. anyways so glad she is doing well. scary times.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, Tony. I decided to check yours out and find you to be a busy man. Best to Debbie and glad it was not the big C.
So glad the tumor wasn’t malignant. The big ‘C’ seems to want to target a lot of people! My mom has been battling for a year and got an “all clear” from the doctor last month.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I’m glad I had a chance to check yours out as well!
I am really happy for you guys! My neighbor wasn’t quite so lucky. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor last summer and passed in January. I know how hard it must have been for you both to go through, so the positive outcome is fantastic. Life is good!
Sorry to hear about your neighbor. We have been so lucky really. Apparently the tumors where you don’t know it’s there and suddenly get a seizure are harder to deal with than those that cause you to feel unwell for a while before they are found.
