It’s the start of a new year, and the perfect time to make new resolutions, isn’t it.
What does 2010 hold for you? Do you I wonder have plans for a new web site or blog, or to move an existing one over from a Free service to your own domain? Maybe you already have your own web site or blog, but are not happy with the service that your hosting company is giving you. Are they charging you too much? Are you going over your limits for bandwidth or space? You really do need to keep tract of those little financial details or you’ll run your business into the ground. And if you don’t like the people you are hosting with, get rid of them! Looks great Tony.

Thanks Susan. You are definitely right, you do need to keep track of the financial details, and all the small amounts to add up, usually faster than you think.
One thing that I have come to realize is that whereas several years ago it was thought a great idea to have your own blog, now it’s considered even more important to have multiple sites, each geared to it’s own topic.
This is one reason why choosing a hosting company that allows you to host multiple domains under one account is really important, since at even $5 a month, this does add up. Most hosting companies also cap your disk space and bandwidth, charging you more if you exceed them, but as long as you don’t abuse it, POWWEB is happy to make this unlimited.
The reason I know that I have been with them for 10 years is that I registered and hosted my family web site shortly before my daughter was born, and she is now 9 1/2. Doesn’t time fly!

I’m starting to get truely aggravated. I cannot find a way to find a very good shared web hosting service for my sites. I am using ixwebhosting, however they usually are down every other day! Could anyone help me?
I find POWWEB to be reliable most of the time, you could give them a try. I have a dozen sites under one account and barely use 10% of my space and bandwidth as well.
