I took these photographs of a gorgeous sunset over Lamorna Cove in Cornwall while we were staying there on Honeymoon.
The photographs were taken from the patio of the converted farm building that we stayed in at Kemyel Wartha, which was little more than 100 yards from the cliff edge and offered fantastic views over Lamorna Cove, as well as to The Lizard. On a clear day you could even see the satellite dishes at Goonhilly Downs on The Lizard.
But by far the best views were at night, with lovely sunsets like this as the sun was going down, and then after dark the stars shone really bright, due to the “no light” policy in the area and also the lower pollution in the atmosphere.
This was such an amazing place to spend our honeymoon and we highly recommend The Dovecote at Kymaurah Cottages, Kemyel Wartha near Lamorna Cove. The hot tub was a real treat, especially relaxing in it after dark and watching the stars, and the tranquility of staying off the beaten track and away from any noise was fabulous.
